Mama's Buoi CBD

Just recently, a colleague Trang and I caught up for lunch. She was so excited to show me her new find. For a foodie like me - word of mouth helps a lot because I do not rely on media's food reviews. Been disappointed far too much to even try what they say. Hence, I need a warm body to tell me if the place is really worth going to. :-)

Mama's Buoi is located in the Postal Lane of the GPO. Nestled between huge buildings H&M and Myer. That little aisle you have to go through before you discover gems. So, so worth it.

You have to go through this narrow laneway attractively
decorated with rustic lamps and barrels. I just love it!
You pass by this inviting area and all I wanna do is sit there and reminisce but it was not our restaurant. I promise to go back there one of these day offs. :-)
Tadah!  Mama's Buoi!

Pretty and cozy :-)

Water for me

Vermicelli Noodles with Asian Salad and fresh herbs served with roast pork and crackling
with Nuoc Cham dressing, that fishy-lemony-chilli-yummy goodness of a sauce

Not sure what this was but it has steamed rice noodles, fish cakes, lettuce and chilli - Trang said this was good...

This dessert is Sticky black rice and seasonal fruits with yoghurt ice cream that tasted like salted caramel... I counted the ingredients and there were 13 I can name of, but I am sure there are still more :-)

Crème Caramel and fruits

All cleaned up. Burp...ops excuse me while I beam :-)
