Ain't Nothing Gonna Break My Stride...

These last few days my knee and my back started a mutiny. Before, they were independent in causing me grief but lately they've formed an alliance. "Together we're strong" someone once said. Well, that someone is right.

As the year inched towards its last quarter my aim to work part-time gets stronger. It is highly motivated by my bones. Next year I promise to be less strain-and-stress-giving to myself. I'd have time to relax and chill out.

This week though due to the mutiny I am sidelined. But after appointments and tests, I am also able to have that chillax time.

Ain't nothing gonna break my stride...
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Oh no, I've got to keep on moving ♬

I tried to be a  bit productive and do some paintings. A few weeks ago I have made a few palette painting using acrylic paint medium.  Palette knife because I am not good with brushes. They frustrate me. So palette it is. And Abstract. Only Abstract.♥ I cannot do any of how the great artists do paintings. Mine are my own style with inspiration from a lot of things. They're all signed  Neng♥  My childhood nickname. I decided to add some to the collection this week.

I reminded Rich of Data in Star Trek Enterprise when he painted dozens in one day, Big ones too! I am really just proud of some, the rest are kinda waste of paint and space but hey, decades from now someone might find them in my attic and go "Aha!"

I always loved to draw growing up but never really painted beyond the watercolours of elementary school. I wanted to but there were no paint mediums readily available. I remember seeing a black and white abstract painting in the movies and wanted to do it with wall paints that we have at the house. I wasn't impressed with the results at all. I think that killed my desire to waste any more paints.

Ain't nothing gonna break my stride...
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Oh no, I've got to keep on moving ♬

Yes, I have to keep on moving. These paintings are products of my back and knee pains - not the other way around.

Please enjoy my amateurish take on this not so ancient art.
