Cuts like a Knife...

It is raining and I am almost finished with my day-off stuff. Laundry is done and hang, some are tumbling in the dryer. Date Muffins are cooling on the rack. Groceries are stored and fridge cleaned. And it is not even afternoon yet.

Today is bed weather - but I am not at all tired. I seem to get my second wind when it is wet and cold. When it is sunny and hot - I get migraines and feel lethargic all day long.

As I watch the wet magpie peck on a strand of spaghetti* in our yard, I thought of doing something productive.

Maybe painting? Many posts ago, I mentioned my new found love of knife palette painting. I do love it still. I made a few and it is waiting to be wrapped to ship home to Surigao. We have no more wall space around here and besides, Buding is a fan. She wanted them in our old home.

Please meet Piriko Pikoy a new addition to my palette painting collection. Just born 10 April 2014

I am glad that though I am not good with brushes I am still able to make decent paintings using a palette knife. Still a long way from Art Stardom but for those who love me, apparently I am good :-) and for me that's all that matters.

Burst of Sunflowers,
I really am proud of this one.

* Spaghetti - I did some social experiment out of boredom, do Magpies think spaghetti strands are worms? Haha they did eat it and wriggled their bodies as they did so...so maybe they think it is. I don't know. Maggie Pie is our resident Magpie, she shoo'ed the crows not long ago.
