"Out with everything you don't need—the junk, clutter, hang-ups and hurts—and in with the fresh, fantastic, unencumbered life you've always wanted." - Oprah
I thought: Easy for you to say Oprah you have a well-oiled machine that can run any which way you want, anytime, anywhere - dripping precious fuel along the way.
But I know I am wrong. We can all live a fantastic and productive life, in whatever way we want. It is up to us to make it so.
President Gordon B. Hinckley once said: "Life is to be enjoyed, not endured" .
I just love it. I am happy that there is an affirmation that validates what I wanted to be and feel all along.
In my blog profile the things that have the most importance to me are: My Family, my Faith, my Friends and my Food. My F’s. They are the ones that makes me happy.
Family:
My father was a lawyer and a loving, kind but straight to the point strict, generous and funny father. Papa was our sage, our physical source of wisdom and guidance. He knows practically everything worth knowing in the world. He raised us his children with firm yet gentle way. Saying we love him is not enough to express our feelings for him because we revere him as the Patriarch of the family, with respect and adoration. I like to think that I inherited his sense of humour and a fraction of his wisdom. I do though, with sureness knows I look like him :-) ♥ Even before the Dalai Lama famously shared these words, we have already heard it from Papa, on what surprises him the most:
"Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die and then he dies having never really lived.
Papa, who never owned a passport proved to be the most well-travelled of us all and educated of all things important. He was contented where he was in his life in Surigao.
He is dearly missed and no day passes that we do not think fondly of a Papa we know who gave his all for us.
